Welcome to Illawarra Dragon Boat Club
Dragon Boating is a fast, fun and furious team sport available for all levels of fitness and ability. It has its origins in Ancient China 2500 years ago where races played an important role in religious ceremonies and festivals.
We regularly paddle on weekday evenings, and weekend mornings. Members have the opportunity to compete in events from local regattas to huge international events.
It is an ideal, active activity for school sport (12+ age) and for community and corporate groups as a team bonding activity.
We provide the training for teams taking part in the Dragon Boat Challenge which is part of the annual Shellharbour Festival of Sport as well as for teams taking part in other Regattas across the State.
